Additional HR services

We also offer a number of services which are structured on a pay-as-you-go basis. Please contact us for more information where required.

This service is offered on a pay as you go basis to our client schools. Our occupational health service partner provides occupational health referrals and pre-employment checks and will:

  • assess referrals and assign individual cases to an occupational health (OH) nurse or an OH physician as appropriate. Depending on the complexity of the case, an individual referral may not require an appointment, or may involve a single, or multiple appointment(s)
  • provide the professional opinion of an independent registered medical practitioner as to whether a support staff member is suffering from a condition that would enable them to access ill health retirement benefits. They can provide ill health retirement certification to comply with requirements for a support member who is a member of the Avon Pension Fund
  • obtain GP reports if necessary and conduct pre-employment checks.

This service is offered on a pay as you go basis. We partner with a counselling support service to provide your staff with the opportunity to see a counsellor about anything that is worrying them – work, personal or family problems. Staff are offered up to four sessions and on the advice of the counselling service, two further sessions may be offered.

We offer a selection of training opportunities to support you, ranging from specific training to support your school administrators, through to accredited safer recruitment training to ensure your setting’s compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education. You will be notified of training opportunities and the cost of each individual training event. A discounted rate is available if you purchase either or both, HR management and casework, and HR administration services. We can also offer bespoke training to your school/academy at an agreed price.
