Welcome to our online resource to support home learning. The aim of this website is to support parents to help their children when normal school attendance is disrupted and they are learning at home.
There is a requirement for schools to provide remote education for pupils who are working at home. Our resource aims to complement this with guidance and help for parents as well as additional learning activities. The resource brings together a range of free and easy to access online activities and learning to support parents of children of all ages. Resources are clearly grouped into subjects and topics.
There are sections on:
- reading and phonics
While working at home it is important that children and young people experience a variety of activities so we have also included sections on being creative, wellbeing, music, competitions, staying safe and helping others.
Our SENsational resources section is specifically aimed at parents who are supporting a child with Special Educational Needs at home. The skill builder section provides parents with resources to help them to support their child with learning, for example, helping struggling readers. There are also activities to help to keep children calm and happy. These are useful to weave in to a child’s day as a break from an activity if they are becoming anxious. There are also resources to help them to keep active and be creative.
It is important for children to experience a range of different activities during the day to help keep their interest and support different aspects of their learning and development. Try to develop a routine for learning with your child while working at home. We have included some timetables that can support you to plan with your child.

Online music lessons now available from the Music Hub
These are individual lessons with one of our highly-skilled teachers, delivered through video conferencing. Not only will this be a great extra activity to fill the time during lockdown, it will help our instrumentalists to keep their skills fresh and continue to make progress while they are staying at home.
